10th Birthday Weekend of Celebrations

 at the 

Kilcoy Wood, Wine & Art Festival                

   Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th September 2011

Art Pastels Workshops with Tony Zammit

Daily starting at 9am and finishing at 3pm both Sat 10th & Sun 11th.  Bring your own pastels please. A limited number of pastels will be available for use by attendees.

Ukulele Playing Workshops with the Uke Dukes 

Get ed-UKE-ation

Two workshops per day, 10-10.45am & 3-3.45pm in The Carport

 Learn this wonderful musical instrument, even if you have no musical knowledge. Ukuleles supplied and will be sold off on Sunday afternoon. Fun for all ages.

Saturday participants are invited to join the Kilcoy Uke Troupe and perform with the Uke Dukes at the Saturday night Campfire Concert.

Bollywood Dancing & Bollywood Bling with Roushini’s Fun India    

Decorate your hands and feet and learn this infectious dance style. Roushini has some authentic Indian saris available to wear then you can show your style - in style. People with special needs and in wheelchairs can participant.

There is no limit on numbers in this workshop so join in for a lot of FUN.

Indian Cooking with Roushini

Learn to cook in a step by step session  how to prepare and cook samosas (curry puff)  served with Tomato Chutney.

Taste test the delicious results. Recipe sheets available.

Big Star Circus Skills Workshops  Are Back!!

  • 10am – 11am Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 

    • Come & Play Workshop

    • Play with our hula hoops, spin stixs, juggling balls, plate spinning and twirling poi. We supply all equipment and fencing. 

    .

    •  Make & Play Workshop
    • The participant can make and decorate a hula hoop or 3x juggling balls.  
    •    Up to 20 participants

  • 12noon – 1pm  Saturday 10 & Sunday 11

    • Aerial Bungy & Tissu

 Participants  will learn to do tricks on the bungy trampoline and aerial static tissu/trapeze. Great fun all in complete safety. 

Circus Time Show Workshop- 6hrs in total.

 10 lucky pupils will be taught tricks to a higher standard than just the workshops.

Skills taught will be clowning, aerial tissu & trapeze.

Hula hoops and a little bit of magic!                                                 

 At the end of Sunday afternoon, these children will present the circus show to the community.

All participants will need to commit to 3hrs of training on both Saturday and Sunday.

Participants should wear  leotard and leggings for the girls and sports shorts and plain coloured t-shirt for the boys.

 Some costume accessories for use in  the show will be provided.                                                                                              

   Age of participants will need to be 10yrs and up. 

Parental consent required.

Workshops will be spaced out over the 2 days of the Festival.
